Simply Essentials Nail Clippers and Kabuki Brushes

I received some amazing makeup tools recently from Simply Essentials. They may look like your standard nail clippers but they felt much more sturdier to me. They opened effortlessly and I only needed to apply the pressure once to my nails to clip them instead of over and over again like I have been recently. You know what I mean, the clip the nail then peel it back ugh but I don't have to do that with these! My Husband has also been using them and prefers them to the older Dolllar General ones that we usually buy. These are great for handling my pedicures and manicures that I do every week and are gentle enough for my 3 year old daughter.

Now, I don't know about you but I'll admit that finding makeup brushes can be a tiresome and daunting task. How will they feel on my face? Will they work for the makeup look I am trying to create? What about the price, is it worth it? Finding the perfect one may take a while since you have to have the right one to do certain makeup styles. I am so happy that I received these to try out.

My foundation brushes haven't been doing too great since I use them so much, so this opportunity came up at the exact right moment! I have never felt bristles that incredibly soft, it felt so good to apply my makeup. They are so gorgeous, here is a picture of all of them together.

The middle one I use as a blush brush. Since it's angled I can get that perfect look on my cheeks. The third brush I used for my bronzing. By adding the brush into the bronzer, tap gently and apply to the outside of your faace then blend in in circular motions. It'll give you a nice glowy complection.

The left brush I use for my all over foundation which would include liquid and powder. Dip into the liquid and apply dots on your forehead, cheeks and chin. Start spreading it with your brush in downward motions until it's well blended then cover with your powder foundation.

The cheeks are super easy. Apply the brush into the blush and tap of the excess. Apply it to your jawline starting from your nose up tp the corner of your eye and blend. Please ignore my goofy face haha :)

Then I dip my bronzer brush into my bronzer and gently apply it to the outer part of my face going around my whole face. Then, I swirl and blend it gently so it outlines the face and give me a glow. I also add a little to my cheeks as well.

All in all I am very highly satisfied with these brushes. They feel like silk on my face and aren't harsh like my others. I love to apply makeup but since I got these brushes I love applying it even more!

Purchase these at Simply Essentials on Amazon

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  12. I think the brushes can help you to evenly apply make up. It's nice that you are satisfied with the brushes.

  13. I love makeup brushes but I think the angled one is great for bronzer. Bronzer you will want to use at an angle to get precision every time.

  20. I like brushing on the powder as apposed to smoothing it on with a pad. Seems like the powder covers more and you can brush away where it might clump up leaving you with a fresher more finished look.

  31. I'm a little picky when it comes to nail clippers. I own one - it's from Revlon and it's been with me for close to 10 years! Some nail clippers look ok at first, but can't really cut well. Lol. That's just me.

  33. I need these... our are always lost for some reason. I like the look of the nail clippers.

  34. The makeup brushes looks good and based from the photos they are very dense? I don't have many brushes but I have a retractable kabuki brush for everyday use.

  35. I could use some new brushes, I haven't bought any for some time. The nail clipper looks really expensive. Mine is not something I want seen in public.

  36. I love a good pair of nail clippes! I hate the cheap ones that are always breaking!!! And for make up brushes!! I am there! I love them!!!

  37. That nail cutter is ordinary but those Kabuki Brushes are extra ordinary for me.

  38. We lose so many nail cutters every month because we use them for everything, and same with my make up brushes. But I liked your review :)
