I received some amazing makeup tools recently from Simply Essentials. They may look like your standard nail clippers but they felt much more sturdier to me. They opened effortlessly and I only needed to apply the pressure once to my nails to clip them instead of over and over again like I have been recently. You know what I mean, the clip the nail then peel it back ugh but I don't have to do that with these! My Husband has also been using them and prefers them to the older Dolllar General ones that we usually buy. These are great for handling my pedicures and manicures that I do every week and are gentle enough for my 3 year old daughter.
My foundation brushes haven't been doing too great since I use them so much, so this opportunity came up at the exact right moment! I have never felt bristles that incredibly soft, it felt so good to apply my makeup. They are so gorgeous, here is a picture of all of them together.
The left brush I use for my all over foundation which would include liquid and powder. Dip into the liquid and apply dots on your forehead, cheeks and chin. Start spreading it with your brush in downward motions until it's well blended then cover with your powder foundation.
The cheeks are super easy. Apply the brush into the blush and tap of the excess. Apply it to your jawline starting from your nose up tp the corner of your eye and blend. Please ignore my goofy face haha :)
Then I dip my bronzer brush into my bronzer and gently apply it to the outer part of my face going around my whole face. Then, I swirl and blend it gently so it outlines the face and give me a glow. I also add a little to my cheeks as well.
All in all I am very highly satisfied with these brushes. They feel like silk on my face and aren't harsh like my others. I love to apply makeup but since I got these brushes I love applying it even more!
Purchase these at Simply Essentials on Amazon
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
I haven't used makeup brushes on my own because I use only my fingers. I have yet to try those as well. :)
ReplyDeleteThe brushes look great! It is always a bonus to have a good set of nail clippers!
ReplyDeleteThose brushes look great. Mine seem to wear out so quickly! These look like great quality!
ReplyDeletewe always look for good nail clippers.. ours always break!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Both tools are essential. I always end up with junky nail clippers :-/
ReplyDeleteThese look great. I so dislike nail clippers that are dull. These clippers I would buy. I love your nails by the way. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI just got a Kabuki brush and I can't wait to try it. It feels so soft!
ReplyDeleteboth of these look great.. but I haven't been clipping my nails until I break a part of some, I just file them because I like to grow my nails.. and about the brushes, they are superb but I'm not much of a make-up person so not much idea about all of this.. but thanks for this info :)
ReplyDeleteI bet those nail clippers are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe makeup brushes look pretty good! I'll have to look into this brand!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving those brushes! I'm definitely going to look into purchasing them
ReplyDeleteI think the brushes can help you to evenly apply make up. It's nice that you are satisfied with the brushes.
ReplyDeleteI love makeup brushes but I think the angled one is great for bronzer. Bronzer you will want to use at an angle to get precision every time.
ReplyDeletenice brushes!! i have recently bought a whole 32 sets of brushes haha
ReplyDeleteOooo may I ask where?
DeleteIt's essential to have good tools. Thanks for telling us about these ones!
ReplyDeleteAll of these items are on my list of things I need to buy. thanks for the review
ReplyDeleteI'm always trying to find new make up brushes, I still haven't found one I love. I'll definitely check these out :)
ReplyDeleteThose brushes look great. My daughter is really into makeup and has been talking about needing makeup brushes. I will definitely recommend these to her!
ReplyDeleteNice brushes.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely in need of a replacement set of brushes. I like that these are so soft!
ReplyDeleteI like brushing on the powder as apposed to smoothing it on with a pad. Seems like the powder covers more and you can brush away where it might clump up leaving you with a fresher more finished look.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm unblock, now I can see this post, haha... Anyways, I don't wear makeup, but you can never have enough nail clippers, they're forever getting lost around here.
ReplyDeleteLMAO Big misunderstanding girlie ;) Nail clippers always dissapear like socks!
Deletei love love love Kabuki brushes. i loose nail clippers like crazy too so i can never have enough.
ReplyDeleteThose are some great looking brushes. I love the angled one.
ReplyDeleteMichelle F.
I've been wanting to try some kabuki brushes. I've heard nothing but great things about them.
ReplyDeleteOh I was just thinking today that I need new makeup brushes. mine are old and falling apart. Thanks for giving me a starting place.
ReplyDeleteI have a makeup brush fetish... ahah! I'll have to check these out.
ReplyDeletegreat review and great tips.
ReplyDeleteGreat review, Chrissy!
ReplyDeleteI love the feel of soft bristles too. Glad your brushes came just in time.
ReplyDeleteI need a good pair of nail clippers. I kept buying cheapos and they just don't work well. Maybe I'll pick up a set of brushes too! My makeup really needs updating.
ReplyDeleteI so need nail clippers. How they disappear is beyond me. Those look cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little picky when it comes to nail clippers. I own one - it's from Revlon and it's been with me for close to 10 years! Some nail clippers look ok at first, but can't really cut well. Lol. That's just me.
ReplyDeleteIf I bring out nail clippers,I run the risk of getting attacked by the cheetah....
ReplyDeleteI need these... our are always lost for some reason. I like the look of the nail clippers.
ReplyDeleteThe makeup brushes looks good and based from the photos they are very dense? I don't have many brushes but I have a retractable kabuki brush for everyday use.
ReplyDeleteI could use some new brushes, I haven't bought any for some time. The nail clipper looks really expensive. Mine is not something I want seen in public.
ReplyDeleteI love a good pair of nail clippes! I hate the cheap ones that are always breaking!!! And for make up brushes!! I am there! I love them!!!
ReplyDeleteThat nail cutter is ordinary but those Kabuki Brushes are extra ordinary for me.
ReplyDeleteWe lose so many nail cutters every month because we use them for everything, and same with my make up brushes. But I liked your review :)
ReplyDeleteNow my girl is a teen and into make up I think it is time to invest in good brushes for her. I´m more of a wash and go girl so never saw the need.
ReplyDeleteI need some new ones I use them and clean them too often i think because they start to lose there softness all to quickly
